The Modiehi Mongale Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering offenders, parolees, and children impacted by incarceration through rehabilitation, education, and community development. Guided by the journey of its founder, Lerato Manaka, the foundation is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a second chance.

Our History

April 2021

Re-Establishment

The Modiehi Mongale Foundation was re-established in April 2021 after Lerato Manaka's release from prison, symbolizing her commitment to turning her life around. It now serves as a platform for second chances, rehabilitation, and community empowerment.

August 2022

 45 Communities were impacted

We have reached over 45 communities, raising awareness on crime prevention and the importance of second chances, fostering safer and more informed societies.

October2023

Prisoners Desk was established

Through our Prisoners' Rights Desk, we have advocated for the human rights of thousands of inmates, promoting rehabilitation and supporting their journey toward community reintegration.

October 2024

Reaching 50 Volunteers

We have provided meaningful opportunities to over 50 volunteers, enabling them to contribute to our mission while gaining valuable experience and skills.

November 2024

R1200 Donations

We contributed R1,200 to support community initiatives, demonstrating our commitment to uplifting those in need and fostering positive change.
